On the afternoon of March 14, 2011, Party and government leaders including president of P.R.C. Hu Jintao and prime minister Wen Jiabao inspected the ‘Eleventh Five-Year’ National Science and Technology Exhibition held in China National Convention Center. The other leaders are Wu Bangguo, Jia Qinglin, Li Changchun, Xi Jianping, Li Keqiang, He Guoqiang, Zhou Yongkang, etc..
March 8~14, 2011, the ‘Eleventh Five-Year’ National Science and Technology Exhibition was held in Beijing. Centering on “independent innovation and leaping development”, the exhibition focuses on promoting transition of economic development via technology innovation and showcases the outstanding achievements of science and technology obtained during the period of “11th Five-Year Plan”, which include sections such as Implementation of major science and technology, Optimization and upgrading of industrial structure via Application of high & new technology, development of agricultural and people's livelihood science & technology, strengthening research on fundamental and advanced technology, etc.. The exhibition, to a great extent, reflects China’s science and technology innovation capacity.
The achievements of deep-water anti-wave cage by SCSFRI were shown at the exhibition, demonstrated in the forms of videos and models. They are mainly: 1) establishment of R&D platform for deep-water anti-wave cage techonology; 2) great upgrade of sea cage industry; 3) improvement of the offshore aquaculture environment; 4) ensurance of ecological balance; 5) effective expand of aquaculture area.
The achievement of deep-water anti-wave cage aroused great interests among the visitors and some enterprises who felt rather encouraged by the advanced and modern aquaculture model.
